Are CBD and THC legal?

As of July 1st, 2022, a new law was implemented in Minnesota that permits the inclusion of small quantities of hemp-derived THC (either delta 8 or delta 9) in food and beverages. The allowable limit of THC is no more than 0.3% of any hemp-derived THC, and each serving of the product may not contain more than 5 mg of THC, with a maximum of 50 mg of THC per package.

About THC Edibles

THC edibles are food products infused with THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), the psychoactive compound found in cannabis. They come in various forms such as gummies, chocolates, brownies, and other baked goods. When ingested, the THC is metabolized by the liver, which converts it into 11-hydroxy-THC, a more potent compound that produces a stronger and longer-lasting high compared to smoking or vaping. The effects of THC edibles can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours to kick in, and can last up to 6-8 hours, depending on the dosage and individual's metabolism. It is important to note that consuming too much THC can lead to unpleasant side effects such as anxiety, paranoia, and nausea, so it is recommended to start with a low dosage and wait for the effects to fully set in before consuming more.
